Communism Is On the Rise – Freedom Philosophy

I’ve had an interesting experience lately on social media. I’ve had three different people who I don’t believe know each other threaten to put my head in a guillotine. It stemmed from the fact that I own income properties. Landlords are the current trend for their hatred and wishes of violence.

I’ve heard it said that the rise of Donald Trump caused racists to come out from the shadows. I believe equally the rise of Bernie Sanders caused communists to come out from the shadows. They’re becoming more vocal, more violent with their calls to action, and losing the capacity to engage in rational dialogue.

Communism is predicated on the most violent tendencies of humanity. Their revolutionaries go from town to town, taking local businesses – farms, restaurants, anything they believe to be profitable – away from their owners, and using it for themselves. Those who resist are killed.

This is the height of arrogance. The university professor espousing communism is a person who themselves has never run a successful business, but they believe themselves to be capable of running every business. This is hubris the likes of which we have never encountered in the history of civilization.

They wish to repossess rental homes. Some of us have worked our entire lives, spent enormous sums of money, and they wish to take these for themselves – colossal theft. I’m not entirely positive if these people are aware of where housing comes from, but it isn’t devoid of labour, and these laborious efforts demand payment.

If they remove the incentive to build housing, there’s likely to be a shortage. Communists did much the same with agriculture in the 20th century, and the resulting loss of food caused mass famines. If they do the same to our real estate market with their new war cry of rent being theft, new housing developments, and maintenance of older houses, will be neglected. The loss of housing would mirror the loss of food.

What I don’t understand about communists is that they can already live the lives they want. Capitalism allows for communist communes, while communism doesn’t allow for capitalist communities. These people could go to a settlement, and redistribute anything they produce.

A friend once did this. With the mantra, from each according to his ability to each according to his need, they set up a commune outside of Montreal. It quickly devolved into something resembling the third world. There were too many people who believed their contribution would be playing music while others tilled the soil. They produced very little, and the commune failed.

Jeremy Corbyn, Bernie Sanders, and Jagmeet Singh ought to be given doctorates in marketing, and not honourary doctorates either. They have mastered the art of selling the features of a thing. They downplay the violence and consequences of their suggestions, and sell the benefits of communism, that in the end have historically proven to not be beneficial. Yet, they still have followers.

I encourage the reader to adopt the following sentiment: At any point, if someone identifies themselves as Marxist, we should immediately understand that to mean that these are violent people. They may not even be capable of violence themselves but they wish others to be paid to commit the violence for them. They ought to be viewed as violent individuals.
