Trudeau Bought Canadian Media – Freedom Philosophy

Jerry Dias, who has 15,000 journalists as members of his union, was seen lovingly embracing Trudeau and claimed he and his team were Andrew Scheer’s worst nightmare. In response, in what was an act of pure treason, Justin Trudeau pledged a payout to the journalists combatting his enemies in the amount of $595 million.

Trudeau is putting together a panel to make a judgment on which media outlets will be the fortunate recipients. Canada’s media is becoming financially dependent on the Liberal Party’s re-election.

This is the typical Trudeau strategy. While the Americans cut corporate tax, he issues a bailout package as support – Liberal friendly businesses do well, while those that do well, because they supply for , are left at a serious disadvantage. Because supply and demand are reduced, production is left reduced, but production is the only thing that drives down costs and hence the cost of living, and in the long-run creates jobs.

The Liberals do the same with the environment. They take all of our money, canceling environmentally-friendly tax cuts like public transit, but assuring us they’ll use the increased revenue to invest in green-tech. I’ve never seen any evidence that the Liberal Party has the capacity to identify residual cash flow for a successful green tech investment, but they’re content to take everyone’s money and establish a panel that presides over such things. Rather than gives banks and consumers the flexibility to refinance a mortgage and add solar panels, for example, to a house, the Liberals have decided they will steer Canada to a greener economy without consumer support.

All of this was done under the guise of assisting a failing industry; media, especially print media. The Liberals wish to continue on with this supply of information, but there’s a diminishing demand for it.

Media elites will have no shortage of excuses as to why this is. Their usual complaint is that consumer demand of news has shifted to online mediums that are less profitable, and where the consumer’s attention span is shorter, or where our attention more swiftly gravitates toward cats or boobs. They seem to ignore that successful media has successfully transitioned to an online model, but the lackluster Canadian media CEOs haven’t been able to keep up.

There are other explanations as to why supply for journalism far exceeds demand. The most basic is that the supply of journalism isn’t what the consumer demands. These are media elites speaking to issues that impact themselves and not to issues that impact the consumer.

As Brexit and Trump’s electoral victory showed us, the media doesn’t have its finger on the pulse of a nation anymore. The media used polling data that was known to be a failing science, to assure us that Brexit and a Trump presidency wouldn’t be a reality while people on the ground were assuring us of immense surges in popularity for Brexit and Trump.

While Trump was offering the unemployed paychecks, Clinton was offering them privilege checks. Clinton didn’t speak to the people of Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin, or Pennsylvania.

The media in Canada have gone down that road and are now accelerating. According to the price of gold in CAD – literally the gold standard of currency measurement – the average Canadian who earned $50,000 when Trudeau took office, still earns $50,000 on paper but it has the same purchasing power as $43,000 when he took office. Real wages are in decline, purchasing power is in decline.

Grocery bills are going up, while the media laughs at those who take issue with supply management. Cell phone bills are comparatively outrageous, and the media fails to cover the regulatory framework written by the oligopoly for the oligopoly to inflate cell phone bills and eliminate competition. The fact that real wages are dropping at alarming rates is of little concern to the media, I’ve never heard of them covering it. Inflation is a non-issue to the media, it impacts seniors tremendously by the media ignores it.

Trudeau wants to pay more money to the elites that pedal his agenda. He wants to take taxpayer dollars and give to people who have fantastically failed to speak to taxpayers but nevertheless continue to push his agenda. He’s literally using our own money to give it to people to feed us misinformation to get him re-elected. This level of corruption has never been tried in Canada. This Orwellian oversight will meet our next election day, what happens remains to be seen.
