What No One Talks About Regarding Trump Sex Scandals

People are sick and tired of being manipulated, of not being listened to, of being controlled, of being programmed, rather than having reason and evidence be the factor that helps them weigh their decisions on who to vote for.” – Stefan Molyneux

I normally try to bring a bit of humor to my articles, but not this time. This is a serious issue and it’s time to get serious for a moment, because frankly, it’s not funny anymore. The stakes are too high for a bit of levity right now.

It really disgusts me that the human race seems to care more about optics than substance, about scandals than about issues. The number of people I’ve talked to who tell me they support Hillary over Trump because of how each presents themselves is simply baffling. I press for substantive reasons and no one can give me any, which means this whole election is coming down to mere surface veneer.

Pretention and pettiness are contemptible traits. If I had to summarize this entire election cycle in one image, it would look like this:

My only consolation now lies in the alternative media red-pilling everyone.

If there’s one thing I’m grateful for in this election, it’s the revelation of just how many intellectually dishonest people there have been in my life and how many have walked out on their own. Many times, I thought about cutting them off myself, but that’s a shit thing to do to someone just because you disagree with them, and it means I’d no longer be able to try and persuade them through reason and evidence. So I continue to suffer fools.

Unfortunately, the many lies told in this election cycle have profound consequences for you and me, which could last half a century or more. Perhaps the biggest issue is the Supreme Court appointments, which will undoubtedly shape the future of this country. It’s no secret by now that our justice system is corrupt. It’s not too late to fix it, but we’re running out of time.

That brings me to the topic of these sexual assault allegations against Trump.

Rape and sexual assault are, of course, intolerable, disgusting, and many people (men and women alike) have a hard time coming forward to talk about it because it’s quite humiliating, which is precisely the reason why we must be careful not to lie about it, or to accept and tolerate when others lie about it. This is one area you don’t want to cry wolf.

Because an Insanity Wolf meme would have been uncouth at this point.

Sadly, these false allegations happen with alarming frequency and the lives of the accused are destroyed while their false accusers are seldom punished for it. Such a damnable lie is a spit in the eye and a slap in the face of every real victim of sexual abuse and should be visited with the full weight and measure of our wroth as a society.

Now, if there is truth to these accusations against Trump, then of course that’s a terrible thing and we should see justice done. The problem is, there doesn’t seem to be a lot of evidence to support them:

I’m not saying these women are lying. I don’t know that for a fact. I’m not a mind reader. I just have my doubts, is all. What I am saying is that it’s important we make damn sure they’re not lying before we condemn Trump, because the consequences of such accusations affect more than just him and these women. It’s no exaggeration to say they probably affect the whole world because of the fact that Trump is campaigning to be the most powerful man on Earth.

If someone lies about being raped, the alleged rapist’s life is destroyed, often without consequence to the false accuser. It sickens me that people conflate accusation with conviction. That in our society, to be charged is to be found guilty. However, whether true or false, these accusations are affecting the way people perceive Trump and are eclipsing not just the Wikileaks scandals, but even just the regular political issues that we’ll all have to deal with in the years to come.

Seeing as these accusations could tip the vote away from Trump and change the course of the country for the next half century, it’s even more important we figure out whether they’re true or not. That could require a lengthy trial process lasting years, and we simply don’t have the time to wait. Most people have already made up their minds at this point, deciding what camp they’re in.  Unfortunately, our fates are tied to theirs.

Consider the case of Al Franken, whom some have suggested won the Senate seat for Minnesota by fraud. No one pursued this. No one called for it to be overturned, and so Franken went on to cast the deciding vote that got Obamacare passed, and look at all the damage that has caused over a lie. There’s no way to know whether his opponent would have been any better, but it does speak to the need for greater intellectual and political integrity.

Hillary and her crew don’t care about women. We know this based on her own treatment of Bill’s accusers, which Trump brought up during the second debate, and of the fact she takes money from regimes that treat women like second-class citizens. We know the New York Times and other outlets within the media-political complex are willing to fall on their swords for her. So this tactic should not surprise us, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s true.

If Trump loses to Hillary based on the public perception of these accusations and they later turn out to be false, how do we undo the damage?

There is no amount of apologizing these women could do to make it right again for the American people. Even them going to jail won’t restore America. Are they going to remove Hillary from office and put Trump in, instead? Are they going to overturn every law she passed? Every appointment she made? Return all the money stolen in taxes? Bring back to life the people killed by her policies?

Do you think ten Hail Mary’s and some community service will be enough?

Has anyone even stopped to consider the bigger picture here? Have these women? Have you?

I get asked quite often why I post a lot of Trump-related stuff on a libertarian website when he’s clearly not a libertarian. The answer is that part of “being libertarian” means having to deal with the political realities we face, not just sticking to a party or candidate with the word “libertarian” attached to it. Of fighting the battles at hand, rather than the ones we wish we could be fighting.  Gary Johnson isn’t touched by sexual scandals, but as much as I like Johnson, he also didn’t make it to the debates and you can’t dance with a partner who isn’t even at the ball. That’s my choice.  You’re free to disagree, I just want you to consider it, is all.

The other reason is that I try to cater to more than just libertarians when I write, in the hopes this site will reach others as well and bring them into the fold. Like it or not, this is the stuff we have to deal with right now. It’s the stuff everyone’s talking about, and unfortunately we can’t get to the things that really matter until we first get through it.

Again, if these accusations against Trump are completely true, that’s one thing, but I don’t think they’re true. And to be fair, the same arguments I made here can be said of Hillary regarding Bill’s accusers, as well as her own misdeeds, though at least in those instances, there is more credible evidence beyond mere political attacks.

I know a lot of people are upset right now and angry about a lot of things going on in the world. I’m right there with you. I’m angry too, but we need to make certain we’re angry for the right reasons. If Trump raped someone and it can be proven, then we can be angry about that together, but until then, don’t let mere accusations cloud your judgment. Stick to reason and evidence and don’t be distracted by spectacle.

Let’s not forget that, when all this is over, we still have to go back to our lives and deal with the issues of the day, so now that we’ve addressed this topic, let’s get back to talking about that other stuff instead.
