Being Libertarian LLC was founded in late 2015 as a Facebook page and website to act as a point of convergence for minarchists, classical liberals, anarchists, independents, Objectivists, capitalists, and right/left-leaning libertarians. These two platforms were later complemented by a presence on Twitter and other social media, all operating collectively under the banner of Being Libertarian LLC. Today, the Being Libertarian LLC group consists of various websites, projects, and platforms.
The goal of the group is to provide a neutral-as-can-be platform for individuals who believe in any of the various, broadly-libertarian schools of thought. As such, Being Libertarian LLC does not endorse any specific set of policies, political parties or candidates, nor any particular libertarian doctrine — other than a broad commitment to libertarian ideas. The Board of Directors of Being Libertarian LLC is composed of ideologically diverse individuals from around the world, and the Editorial Board of the Literature & Publications Department and its publications is likewise not an echo-chamber of mirrored ideas. At the footer of each article — other than verified news or Board-endorsed editorials — will be bound a disclaimer reflecting this state of affairs: Being Libertarian LLC has no corporate view. All articles represent the views of the author whose name is attached thereto.
Being Libertarian, Rational Standard, and Champion Books are not meant to provide an orthodoxy of opinions. Rather, we are an outlet that provides wide-ranging opinions. Inevitably, by maintaining a big tent for opinions with a pro-liberty bent, some will not conform to aspects of commonly-accepted libertarian doctrine. We have been, and continue to be criticized for providing a platform to often-unpopular views, and unpopular individuals, within the libertarian community. We embrace this criticism and call upon these critics to channel their passionate opposition to such views and individuals into well-argued articles, and submit them to us via our contribute page.
Board of Directors
The Board of Directors of Being Libertarian LLC — the collective owners of Being Libertarian and all its subsidiaries and assets — consists of the following individuals:

The Social Media Department manages and administers Being Libertarian LLC’s social media presence on platforms such as Facebook and Twitter. The Multimedia Division is responsible for Being Libertarian LLC’s video and podcasting content, and manages the YouTube presence. The Literature & Publications Department maintains and manages all the publications associated with BL, including all articles, documentary, and textual publications undertaken by company.
Editorial Board
Being Libertarian LLC’s Literature & Publications Department (L&P) is run by the Editorial Board and maintained by a small and dedicated group of IT techies. L&P consists of the Being Libertarian website, the Rational Standard website, and Champion Books, BL’s commercial publishing arm.
