Over the past several weeks leading up to the 2020 Democratic Iowa primaries, four of Bernie Sanders’ campaign staffers have been exposed as out-and-out communists by James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas and his team of undercover, guerilla journalists in their #Expose2020 campaign. This discovery of communists within the Sanders’ camp probably comes as no surprise to those of us addicted to social media and politics, but do you think the average voter knows? Moreover, and should they come into the know, should they care that Bernie Sanders, a proud socialist who once honeymooned in Soviet Russia and praised the policies of despot communist dictators like Fidel Castro and Nicholas Maduro, is harboring communists in his campaign staff?
Let’s first look at what we now know from the footage that James and his team have released, beginning with the January 14th, 2020, video titled “Top Tier Field Organizer Kyle Jurek.” In the full release, Jurek states, “F**king cities will burn” if Donald Trump wins re-election and further that “If Bernie doesn’t get the nomination or it goes to the second round at the DNC Convention, f**cking Millwaukee will burn.” Eventually, the journalist from Veritas gets more specific and goes on to ask Jurek, “who are you going to throw down with?” To which Jurek replied with “The billionaire class, The f**cking media, pundits. Walk into that MSNBS studios, drag those mother**kers out by their hair and light them on fire in the streets.”
If you think that’s the worst, it gets better. In the teaser leading up to the full release, the Veritas journalist asks, “Do you even think, that some of these, like MAGA people could be ‘re-edcuated’?” Jurek responds, “Any, we gotta try, so like, in Nazi Germany after the fall of the Nazi party, there was sh*t-ton of the populace that was f**king Nazi-fied. Germany had to spend billions of dollars re-educating their f**king people to not be Nazis. Like, we are probably going to have to do the same thing here. That’s kind of what all Bernie’s whole f**king like ‘hey, free education for everybody, because we’re going to have to teach you to not be a f**king Nazi [is all about].'” How does free education sound now comrades? 😉
Did you hear any of this reported by the corporate media and pundits over at left-wing outlets such as MSNBC, CNBC, CNN, ABC, etc.? Did you see the Bernie campaign come out and disavow and condemn such violent and hateful language? Did you see any of Bernie’s competitors in the race for POTUS come out and demand that he condemn Jurek’s statements? Did Jurek get immediately relieved of his staff duties? Were the authorities alerted about this violent rhetoric and was Jurek questioned? The answer to all of these questions is a resounding, no. The only real result of the exposure was that Bernie’s state directors in Iowa nearly immediately set their social media accounts to locked and private.
One week later and to the day on January 21st, 2020, James and Veritas then released another video of a second paid staffer named, Martin Weissgerber, who this time praises gulags and says, “I’ll straight up get armed… I’m ready for the f**king revolution”; and to “Guillotine the rich” and “I’m ready to start tearing bricks up and start fighting… I’ll straight up get armed, I want to learn how to shoot, and go train. I’m ready for the f**king revolution bro.” and finally, “What will help is when we send all the Republicans to the ‘re-education’ camps.” Again, did you hear any of this reported by the corporate press or Bernie’s camp condemning such rhetoric? Silence is bliss, isn’t it? The only result again was more social media shutdown by Martin, the Deputy Digital Communications Director of the Sanders’ campaign, and last but certainly not least, Bernie’s campaign calling the police on reporters for asking questions about his staff talking about killing people.
Like clockwork, and another week later, on January 28th, 2020, James and Veritas then release part IV of their #Expose2020 campaign; this time of two more staffers and more threats of violence. In the video, Mason Baird and Daniel Taylor, both Sanders’ field organizers, suggest that, “Gulags and Kulaks [are] Exaggerated” and to “Make Plans For Extreme Action;” “Destroy Property” and “Abolish Landlords… So we Don’t Have to Kill Them.” After this release there was once again more silence from the corporate media, zero condemnation from the Sanders’ camp, and more social media lockdowns from the staffers. If the exposed violent, communist rhetoric that has been stated above during the past few weeks isn’t indicative of Bernie and a plurality of his supporters then why doesn’t he come out and dismiss this language and fire the staffers? As the adage goes, once is a chance, twice is a coincidence, but a third time is a probably a pattern. In this case, four times if we count all the Sanders’ staffers caught on video by Veritas and released in January of 2020. What if they release more? Where is the corporate press? Where is condemnation from Sanders? Where is the demand from his opponents? Where is the outrage from moderate Democrats who support Bernie, and what would all these people be saying if the shoe was on the other foot?
Imagine if not one, not two, not three, but four Trump staffers were caught on tape suggesting that if their candidate lost the 2020 election they would riot and burn cities down. Imagine if they were suggesting that, should he win again, we re-educate or cause physical harm or death to anyone who didn’t support him. The corporate media and Trump’s opponents would have a field day with such content; probably if it was only a single staffer, too!
With the public’s trust of the corporate media waning further south each day, it’s no surprise we aren’t seeing this story on the nightly news or in the Sunday paper. Even if it was being reported and fed to us in the 24/7 media cycle the question would remain: Should we take Bernie’s communist staffers seriously? Remember, once is a chance, twice is a coincidence, but a third time is a probably a pattern, comrades. 😉
