Well known cybersecurity figure, cryptocurrency enthusiast, and presidential hopeful John McAfee released a Twitter Video today stating that he is on the run from the US government. The reason that he is on the run is reportedly due to a grand jury in Tennesse that found him guilty of multiple felonies related to the IRS. McAfee has proudly declared in the past that he hasn’t filed taxes in over 8 years despite his overall wealth and income. In a series of videos on Twitter, he stated that he is fearing for his life and that the government is out to get him. McAfee also stated that he is being accused of crypto-related crimes by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as well.

In the above Twitter post, he states that he will be continuing his presidential campaign from his boat.
In the post shown below, he also states that he is already en route to Venezuela to avoid pursuit. While the move is ironic considering all of the issues the country is facing it could also be considered a smart destination considering their relationship with the US as present.

The last known whereabouts of presidential hopeful McAfee was off the coast of Newfoundland, Canada as seen in the tweet below.
