  • Sri Lanka has officially started the hiring process for executions putting out an advertisement following the reinstatement of the death penalty.
  • In North Korea an alarming trend has been observed where giving the gift of crystal meth for the holidays is becoming the norm.

  • In Canada, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his Liberal Party have come under fire regarding a potential ethics violation and justice interference in a corruption case against the party supporting company SNC-Lavalin. Read more on this story here.

  • In Spain, the former Vice President of Catalonia is on trial for the “rebellious” independence referendum.
  • The EU leader Guy Verhofstadt accused Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte of being merely a puppet to his Five Star Movement.
