- In North Korea an alarming trend has been observed where giving the gift of crystal meth for the holidays is becoming the norm.

- In Spain, the former Vice President of Catalonia is on trial for the “rebellious” independence referendum.
- The EU leader Guy Verhofstadt accused Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte of being merely a puppet to his Five Star Movement.
